Description

Glutinous rice balls, also known as sticky rice balls or tangyuan, are a popular Chinese dessert made from glutinous rice flour. They are typically filled with various fillings and served in a sweet syrup.

Sesame is often used as one of the fillings for these rice balls. Sesame paste or ground sesame seeds can be mixed with sugar to create a flavorful and nutty filling. The rice balls are usually boiled and then served in a warm sweet soup or syrup. This dessert is commonly enjoyed during festivals and special occasions, especially during the Lantern Festival and Winter Solstice Festival.

The combination of the chewy texture of the glutinous rice balls and the rich flavor of sesame creates a delightful contrast that is beloved by many people who enjoy Chinese desserts.
